Curtain Call Colour Challenge : Act #36

Hello and welcome back for another Sunday Arvo reveal of Curtain Call Colour Challenge colours!  This week Act #36 brings Real Red, Whisper White, Kraft and Night of Navy for us to play with.  What a fresh and fun colour palette!
As you will be able to see from the 2 cards below, I really couldn't decide which one I wanted to post so I decided to post both!!!!  Our girls are away with Nana and Pop at the moment which gave me plenty of UNINTERRUPTED time in the craft room- can you hear the quiet????  It is really nice for a couple of days but we do miss them when they are away for any more than that.  I have to admit that I really LOVE having a clean and tidy house that has everything in its place!!!  without the girls here it actually stays that way- go figure!
Anyhoo, I had best get this finished and do some baking for the visitors coming this afternoon!

If you would like to play along, head over to Stacey's Stamping Stage and link your creation in with Mr Linky! Stacey will be awarding one creation with "The Lead" and 5 creations for the "Top 5 show stopper", qualifying to adorn your blog with the badges and share the news with all!!

As always, if you would like some inspiration to get you started with these colours you can head over to the Design Team members blogs to check out their impressive creations and our illustrious leader, Stacey, will have a beautiful creation to get you going too!

Curtain Call Colour Challenge- Act #35

Hello and welcome back for another of Stacey's Curtain Call Colour Challenges!  Act 35 calls into play some wonderful summery colours, not that Australia is feeling summery- Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!
Any hoo, these colours led me to my new mermaid set, what perfect colours for an underwater theme!  This card doubles as one DD's 9th birthday , which we will be celebrating on the 3rd of July.  With her personality I think the 4th of July would have been more appropriate!!

Hello and welcome back for another Curtain Call Colour Challenge.  This weeks Act, 34, calls to the stage a very interesting colour palette, Sahara Sand, Rich Razzleberry, Basic Gray, Whisper white and Dusty Darango (A colour we don't have in Australia yet, I have substituted Really Rust)

Once again I have pulled out the copic markers, well just 1 really- can you see where I have used it???............. it is in the background!!
I started out with a sheet of Stamper's Select White (PTI), coloured it all with my one and only wide copic marker (C5), then I dropped colourless blender solution in a random pattern, the circle sizes depend on how much fluid is applied.  I am just loving this effect, must be my fetish with dots and circles!  Now I am spending my time searching for more wide markers to add to my collection!

The Recipe:
Cardstock: Stamper's Select White (PTI), Rich Razzleberry, Really Rust, Sahara Sand
Stamps: Star Print (PTI)
Ink: Really Rust, Memento Tuxedo Black, Rich Razzleberry, Sahara Sand
Copic: Blender fluid, C5 wide marker, 110
Accessories: white Elastic, Large silver brads, jumbo eyelets (SU), Crop o dile, Star Punch (SU), Notebook

Happy Birthday Kate and SS 120610

I was doing a bit of blog hopping and stopped in at Andrea's Stampin' Moments, this weeks challenge called for sponging!!  As it happened DD Darcy was invited to Kate's birthday yesterday, this is the card I made, which included lots of sponging- well more than I ever use!  It is a little difficult to see, but it is around the label, around the Tempting Turquoise piece in the middle and also around the entire edge of the card.
I have stamped the envelope with butterlies, which is in the background.

The Recipe:

Cardstock: Stampers Select White (PTI), Tempting Turquoise
Stamps: Swiss Pixies Gretel (CC designs), Dot Spot (PTI), Butterfly Dreams (PTI), Signature Greetings (PTI), Rough edges Alphabet (SU)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Tempting Turquoise
Copics:E25, E27, E29, E50, E51, BG0000, BG02, BG05, BG 10
Accessories: Blue and Clear Spica pen,  Crystal Effects (SU), Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 4,  white flowers (coloured with the copics), kaiser pearls, Taffeta Ribbon (SU), Turquoise stitched grosgrain ribbon (unknown)

ME.......

My Nephew is doing his Confirmation today, so the colours came at a perfect time to make something 'boyish' (which I tend not to do unless I need to!). I thought I could combine the colour challenge with something for the confirmation and save a little time.   I started making the candle, intent on using my copic markers- however with the 69 that I do currently own, I didn't have the right colours- doh!!  The green was a little too bright and the blue was not dark enough!
Back to the drawing board, I started again with a card instead (so much for saving time-lol!).  This time i paper pieced (yes Ange that's right- i cut all the little pieces out with scissors, surprise surprise!!- lol)  giving me the correct colours this time!  You may not be able to see it in the photos,  but I have used crystal effects on Trevor's boots, belt and balloon.  I have used the Card Patterns:Sketch 67 with the Curtain Call Colours

The Recipe: (for both card & candle below)

Stamps: CC Designs Sugarplums "Balloon Trevor", Whimsical Upper & Lower
Cardstock: Stampers Select White (PTI), blending card stock , Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery (All SU)
Paper: Maine Blueberry, Certainly Celery Patterns Designer Series, Bashful Blue (not sure which pack it came from)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Copics (YG 11 & 13, B21 & 24, E25,27,29, 50 & 51  & colourless blender), Copic Multi liner .3, Silver star brads, crop o dile Big Bite, Jumbo eyelets (SU), Certainly Celery grosgrain ribbon, MM slot punch, Crystal Effects (SU)

Hope to be seein your creation featuring these wonderful colours!
