I had never used or even owned a copic marker before heading off to the course, but boy have I made up for lost time-lol. There was so much to love about the day, presented by 2 very very talented & entertaining facilitators , Marianne Walker and Lori Craig. I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed there facilitation style, learning while having fun is a concept far removed from my time at school! Both were extremely easy to approach and had little trouble sharing their knowledge, there was lots of colouring of things other than paper to show the versatility (and the funny side) of copics- rings, watches, earrings, hair, cups and many others! I came home so inspired, ready to hop onto the net and begin shopping (Oh no, says DH). Go and check out their sites and their creations, Marianne at I Like Markers (she also has some amazing tutorials) and Lori at Make a Difference.
I was also lucky enough to be sitting with some wonderful ladies who made the day that little more special, Evelyn from Scrapbook Boutique (great store for purchasing on line, great service and super quick postage- not to mention 10% off your 1st order!!!!!), Andrea from Andrea's Stampin'moments and Annabelle Stamps (online store, unique stamps), and Tracey & Leehane from The Imagination Factory in Ballarat.
So, the copics bug has hit here in Sunbury, I have gone from zero copics to 33, with another 36 on their way as we speak- woohoo, cannot wait for the postie to deliver them! Believe it or not I have already started a new wish list- my poor poor husband, he puts up with so much. On the upside I am sharing his misery with other husbands!! I have been sharing my goodies with my good crafty friends, who now have their own wish lists- I really didn't want my husband to be the only one with a copic obsessed wife!!!
One thing I now know is that working with copics is soooooo much fun but I need lots and lots of practice. I have been watching lots of You tube videos and visiting blogs to help, some great ones are Prairie Paper & Ink and Scrap Bitz with so many talented people in the world of Copics I am sure that you will find many more too!
Anyhoo, best be doing some crafting, hope you have a great night!
Thanks for stopping by
Happy Crafting

How awesome! I've been teaching myself because I don't know of a class to take. Our local Archivers did one, but I missed it! I have been able to learn some on You Tube. :) Kathy
Woohoo, I'm so glad for you :)
I'm looking forward to watching you mastering Copics! How exciting!
I'm so glad you posted about your new experience, Sue. I have resisted the Copic Bug for so long! I don't think I can hold out much longer. Knowing you had never used one before you took the class might give me that nudge to sign up the next time it's offered near me!
well you have just about converted me! 69 copics in just 3 weeks! OMG! cannot wait to see what you create!
