A friend asked me to make a sympathy card for her, part of me doesn't really like make these ones but the other part (which spurs me into action) knows that a wonderful card can make a huge difference to someone who is grieving. I kept this one pretty simple.
I have used this card from Heather Nichols as my inspiration. Heather used the brayer for the background around the tree, can you guess what I used instead?????? Yup...... the air compressor, you always knew that it would be back *wink wink* !!
I stamped the leaves of the tree with olive and then rolled the artichoke around the edges.
The recipe:
Cardstock: Confetti Cream, Crumb Cake & Very Vanilla (SU)
Ink: Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Always artichoke, Tea Dye inks (PTI)
Stamps: Though the trees & Background Basics- Text style (PTI)
Copics- Oops cant remember the #'s, there was a blue, brown and a green
Accessories: Kraft Taffeta Ribbon (SU), Airbrush system and compressor
Hope to see you back here for another addition of CASE study challenge, Mariana's card is stunning!!

Love the script as the "grass" and the shading you did under the tree! Beautiful!
Simply lovely, Sue. I'm sure that the receiver will be comforted by this wonderful card. Great work.
Such a beautiful sympathy card Sue! So serene. ♥
Guess what? I like yours far more than Heather's!!! And it's a spot on sympathy card - not too elaborate, but still shows that you put love into this. Loving it too!!!
