Very good friends of mine had a baby last week (well I started this post before the baby was born, but of course got side tracked!) as part of their gift I made 10 baby thank you cards for them to send out. I like to give them the gift the day the baby is born, so I made 10 baby boy cards and 10 baby girl cards, each has its own box and matching envelopes. the cards are very clean and simple in the design, a unique gift. One for the boy!card stock: barely bananz, whisper white and bashful bluestamps: nursery necessities, baby everything, short and sweet wheel: hot to dotink: barely banana, night of navy, bashful blueaccessories:1", 7/8" 1 1/4" & 1 3/8" circles, scallop circle, 1/4" bashful blue grosgrain, 1" double stitched bashful blue grosgrain ribbon, rhinestons brads, crimperThe box measures slightly bigger than a C6 envelope and is about 5cm wide, with a removeable lid, which is slightly wider (something to remember as the 1st one I made was too small!!)
One for Baby Girl! Card stock: rose red, regal rose, pretty in pink and whisper white
ink:rose red, whisper white
stamps: nursery necessities, polka dots & petals, short and sweet
accessories: regal rose 5/8" grosgrain ribbon, rose red 1/4" grosgrain ribbon (5 of the cards were made using rose red), pink tafetta ribbon, pale pink satin ribbon (spotlight), 1", 1 1/4" & 1 3/8" circle punches, scallop circle punch, scallop edge punch, stickles 'crystal', nestabilites circles, big shot, rose red brad (for the ribbon pullout)
You can't really get a good look at this box, the base which holds the cards pulls out with the ribbon tab on the right side of the photo. the base has been lines with a heavy weight card stock to give it stability when being pulled in and out.
the baby is a ....................................................................... little boy, 'Aston Teague', mother and baby are both doing well and left hospital yesterday, and yes the boy box of cards was a hit!!!! Will post the card I made for Aston shortly.
thanks for stoppin' by
