ME.......

My Nephew is doing his Confirmation today, so the colours came at a perfect time to make something 'boyish' (which I tend not to do unless I need to!). I thought I could combine the colour challenge with something for the confirmation and save a little time.   I started making the candle, intent on using my copic markers- however with the 69 that I do currently own, I didn't have the right colours- doh!!  The green was a little too bright and the blue was not dark enough!
Back to the drawing board, I started again with a card instead (so much for saving time-lol!).  This time i paper pieced (yes Ange that's right- i cut all the little pieces out with scissors, surprise surprise!!- lol)  giving me the correct colours this time!  You may not be able to see it in the photos,  but I have used crystal effects on Trevor's boots, belt and balloon.  I have used the Card Patterns:Sketch 67 with the Curtain Call Colours

The Recipe: (for both card & candle below)

Stamps: CC Designs Sugarplums "Balloon Trevor", Whimsical Upper & Lower
Cardstock: Stampers Select White (PTI), blending card stock , Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery (All SU)
Paper: Maine Blueberry, Certainly Celery Patterns Designer Series, Bashful Blue (not sure which pack it came from)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Copics (YG 11 & 13, B21 & 24, E25,27,29, 50 & 51  & colourless blender), Copic Multi liner .3, Silver star brads, crop o dile Big Bite, Jumbo eyelets (SU), Certainly Celery grosgrain ribbon, MM slot punch, Crystal Effects (SU)

Hope to be seein your creation featuring these wonderful colours!
thanks for Stopping by
Happy Crafting

Love how you used the striped paper on both the card and the clothing. The jumbo brads are a nice touch, too. Very cute!
