ME.......

Can anyone please share how they make the scrunched ribbon stay scrunched?  I put double sided tape underneath, then added hi tac double sided tape and when that didn't work, out came the needle and thread!!!!!  There has to be another way to keep it scrunched!  If anyone has a tip to share I would be eternally greatful!  :)

The Recipe:

Cardstock: Blending Cardstock, Tempting Turquoise, Melon Mambo Barely Banana
Stamps: Hero Arts Clings: Butterflies
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Copics: BG 02, 05, Y15, RV 10, 13, 14, E27, Colourless blender
Accessories: Nestabilities Circles, Fiskars boarder punch, Spica Pens blue & pink, chocolate grosgrain ribbon, Kaiser Rhinestones, mini rhinestones

LOVE what you've done with the colours this week, Sue! Your butterfly is gorgeous and you have used the colours wonderfully well! I agree, I have a ton of Silke's cards saved - I want to be her when I grow up LOL!

Sue, your card is fantastic, and the butterfly ticks all boxes! Your colouring skills are more impressive with every new card you make - you must practice a lot :)
I wish I could give you a hand with scrunched ribbon, but I need a good advice myself. I'd usually use double sided tape (which may or may not work in the long run), except from grosgrain, that's diabolical in this regard! On this kind of ribbon I'd usually use a strong glue, but it's far from being a nice & easy process. *sigh*
I think I'll have to ask Heather Pulvirenti, that chick rocks pleating & scrunching ribbon :)
On the side note - only one week left, and I'm back home! YAY! We must meet or sumthin' :D

Wow Sue this is gorgeous! That butterfly is just perfect! As far as the scrunched ribbon goes, I learnt from a tutorial that Ashley Cannon Newell did on her blog (was a video one). I found that using Sticky Strip worked well (I used two strips side-by-side) and that if you twist the ribbon from side to side (rather than having it straight down). I found that satin ribbon worked well - the one time I tried it with grosgain it was awful! Hope that helps in some way!

I love your card, Sue! What a BEYOOTIFUL butterfly - I want to color like that some day. :)The ribbon is yummy - I use mini glue dots to keep my ribbon flat if I don't dig out my sewing machine. Fab!

Your butterfly is super! I am so impressed how you've taken to the coloring with copics.

I wish I could help with the ribbon treatment. Some time ago PTI had a guest that had a video tutorial. She did a gorgeous multi-layer ribbon scrunching. I tried to find it for you (and me!) but no luck! If I stumble upon it, I'll send it along!
