CASE study #12

Hello and welcome back for another week of creativity at CASE study! How on earth did we sneak through to week 12??
This is a sad week for us at CASE study, not only do we bid farewell to our fabulous October muse Barbara Anders from Paper Pursuits, but we also wave good bye to one of our own - Carole *really sad face*!!!   I am sure you will join me in saying a big thank you to Barbara for this months inspiration and wish Carole well for bigger things to come in the future, I will certainly miss you both at CASE study!
Stay tuned as Miss Chupa has some more exciting news to come in the next few days, and of course a sneak preview of November's Muse!
This is Barbara's inspiration card for this weeks CASE,  how elegant is this!!

If you would like to check out the direct link for Barbara's card, click here .
Here is my take ...

Better IRL
Unfortunately it didn't photograph particularly well!  I have embossed acetate and sanded the raised bits (I saw it on someones blog, but can't remember which one!)

The Recipe:
Cardstock: Stamper Select White (PTI),  Ridinghood Red, Not quite navy
Stamps:Tree Trimming Trio (PTI),
Ink: Not Quite navy
Accessories:Scor Pal, cuttlebug Christmas countdown embossing folder, button, Baker's Twine (PTI), Ridinghood ribbon, Acetate, sanding block

If you haven't played with us before, here is a rundown of what you can do to join in the fun.
Take what works best for you from Brarbars stunner (above): the layout, the colours, techniques, or whatever else, and use it on your sample. You may also like to CASE the whole look. In other words, your job is to show us, how Barbara's  inspires YOU.

There is no right or wrong it is just YOUR way!!
We would all love you to play along with us at CASE study again

Sounds like a fun? Sure does! It is now your turn to be creative

Something else to get you inspired (as if Barbara's card is not enough-lol!)
Our Carole is sponsoring the challenge this week, and will be sending one lucky winner this a new stampin' up level 1 hostess set called "northern hearts". it's very pretty, with scandinavian-style
snowflakes, a little wreath and folk-art kissing birds.

The design team also has stunning creations, think you might find a sparkle or 2!

I've been itching to find out how the heck you achieved that effect - how fabulous! It's effective yet easy, and I'm definitely giving it a go! :D

Oh, I'm finally catching up a bit! This is incredible! The acetate embossed beautifully! I love it...a lot! It's my mission to make mail-friendly cards this year. This packs punch but still is mail-able!
