A Cherry on top!

My fabulous & super talented friend Iwona sent me this tasty little gem!! What a special gift to receive, a big thank you for thinking of me Missy- mwah!!

Now comes the challenging part (for me that is!!), following along with the rules to keep this one I need to share some things I like about me- Mmmmmm????  Well here goes........, they will be short and sweet, unfortunately I am not a word smith-hehe!

I love being part of my family, it is a wonderful feeling being Mum to my 2 little girls and married to ever so patient Ashley.  I have been married before and believe me it didn't feel like this, I have really struck gold this time!

I love having such amazing friends, some of which are as addicted to stamping & crafting as me (I call them enablers-lol!!)!  My other friends, that are not part of my addiction, provide some much needed balance in my life, I would not trade their friendship for the world!!!!

Lastly, I love that I have got this far in life, I am thankful for all the curve balls that have been thrown my way, I wouldn't be ME if they weren't!!  I have learned so much throughout my journey thus far and I am eager to keep learning

Share a photos that I love, well that is an eeeeeasy one, I took this one while we were on holidays in Tasmania back in 2008, I just love it!  The girls have grown so much since then, wonderful to look back when they were so little

I needed to include this one too (thought it was going to be easy picking one!), taken on the same holiday, don't they just look so cute together!

Now, to pass this on to 5 smashing bloggers.....

Ange, my #1 enabler!! A fantastic friend and brilliant crafter, a simple and elegant style, and alway puts herself out to share in a crafting order or 3!!  Always willing to share ideas and crafting supplies, what is hers is mine and vice versa!!
Angela, #2 enabler, a lady who is going great places, in very high demand!!!  Alway pulls out amazing designs with little effort!
Iwona, yeah, I know she sent it to me but I really want to send it back!! This lady is shooting for the stars and is hitting each and every target, coming such a long way is a really short period of time. I am so proud to call her a friend and thank the universe for sending her my way!!
Laurie, I have recently found Laurie's blog and boy does it blow my mind!!  Each and every design is so elegant and inspiring, think I may have a few pics saved to case at a later stage-lol!! Freakishly,  we both have DD's Rylee providing both love in our lives and challenges too!
Silke, What this amazing lady does with paper (in particular white) and ink is absolutely brilliant!  I have my own little 'Silke's file' saved on my computer, filled with her beauties.  A very busy person, yet churns out so much to inspire others!
Boy that was harder than I thought it would be, limiting to 5 is soooooooo hard!
Although if I could choose 10 the choice would still be challenging!
Thank you ladies for being such an inspiration and sensational bloggers!!

CASE study #7- I'm in Loooooove!

It is time for another CASE study challenge!
This month brings us stunning creations by Mariana at Mariana Grigsby Blog.  As soon as I saw this gem, I was in love with it, such striking colours, so elegant and simple!  I just couldn't wait for this week to arrive so I could try my hand at CASing this one.
Check out all the details of this gorgeous card click here

For this card I have chosen to case the WHOLE card, there wasn't anythink I wanted to leave out- LOVE LOVE LOVE!!
With such excitment I set about getting the exact butterfly, but with that came a whole array of delays..... I didn't have the software to unzip the file (should have checked that before I down loaded-Doh!!), but with the help of my wonderful Bro the software was easily obtained, but did take a wee while.  I printed out 4 butterflies and coloured them all slightly different, cut them ALL out............. starting to assemble the card............poop!!  The butterflies were all too small, doh, doh, doh!!!!!!!  Back to the drawing board again, however I did learn a lesson, only cut out the one you want to use-he he.  DD's concluded that this one was the one they liked.... I set to work with the cutterbee's!!
No airbrushing in this one either, I have been trying to control my addiction-lol!!!

Sorry for the colouring in the photo's, just couldn't get them right without the natural daylight!
The Recipe:
Cardstock: Xpress-it blending cardstock,Crumb Cake, Basic Black
Stamps: Winged Friends- digital Stamp, On your Birthday & Pretty Petals (SU)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black , Versa mark
Copics:  BG02, BG05, BG09, YG03,100
Accessories: Clear spica pen, Clear embossing powder, Fiskars boarder punch,Aqua bling, wire, crystal effects , Cutterbee scissors

With Sympathy

A friend asked me to make a sympathy card for her, part of me doesn't really like make these ones but the other part (which spurs me into action) knows that a wonderful card can make a huge difference to someone who is grieving. I kept this one pretty simple.
I have used this card from Heather Nichols as my inspiration.  Heather used the brayer for the background around the tree, can you guess what I used instead?????? Yup...... the air compressor, you always knew that it would be back *wink wink* !!

I stamped the leaves of the tree with olive and then rolled the artichoke around the edges.

The recipe:
Cardstock: Confetti Cream, Crumb Cake & Very Vanilla (SU)
Ink: Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Always artichoke, Tea Dye inks (PTI)
Stamps: Though the trees & Background Basics- Text style (PTI)
Copics- Oops cant remember the #'s, there was a blue, brown and a green
Accessories: Kraft Taffeta Ribbon (SU), Airbrush system and compressor

Hope to see you back here for another addition of CASE study challenge, Mariana's card is stunning!!

FTL106 and Scrapbook Boutique Magnolia Challenge

Hi all, thanks for popping in again!  I have been hard at work (lol) with a 2 in 1 creation, I am using the Clean & Simple 106 layout with the Scrapbook boutique Magnolia Challenge.  As I don't have any Magnolia Stamps I was lucky enough to have a wonderful friend who has, who kindly lent me hers- thanks Elisa!!!
I set about colouring this little number while my husband was installing our new dishwasher and in the process creating a pool in our kitchen- Arrrrrrrh!  I needed to concentrate on something rather than killing him- there are so many benefits of crafting!!!!!  Anyhoo on to the finished product......

This one did not go together as well as what I would have hoped, but in the end I just needed to leave it alone or it would never get finished!

I will add the recipe later, I must go and pick up the girls from school
